Exchange 2007 Max Email Sizes
I recently had a frustrating time trying to set the maximum email size limits in our new Exchange 2007 server. Back in the Exchange 2003 days there were only 2 places I needed to know about in order to control the message size limits: the Global properties controlled the default settings, and you could override those by changing a user’s mailbox on an individual level, in Active Directory.
Exchange 2007 Records Management
As I’m setting up my company’s new Exchange 2007 server, one of my desires is to create a simple records management policy that will delete all of the email older than 6 months from our users’ mailboxes. The reason for this is because we use an email archival system that stores our email for long-term retrieval inside of a SQL database.
Current Projects
At the company where I work we have a few projects that are high on our list. Over the next few months I’ll try to post some short tips, tricks, and guides regarding some of those implementations.
The first (ongoing) project is Microsoft’s Windows Sharepoint Server, or WSS 3.0. This is the free version of Sharepoint, and while there are a few limitations, for us this has been an awesome platform.
Born and raised in the midlands of South Carolina, I've been working in the IT industry since 1997, and building websites since before that.
